Ziporah is an avid believer in living a healthy lifestyle. Wanting to bring Camp Shane’s formula for success to adults, Ziporah founded Shane Diet & Fitness Resorts with her husband David Ettenberg.

Leah Landon – Program Director & Fitness Coach – New York
Leah Landon spent the first 10 years of her career in Los Angeles achieving her goals behind the scenes of the music and television industries. “Although I had outside success on paper, I was unhappy in mind, body and spirit (and fat – an un-recognizable fat)” says Leah. She returned home to New York, and focused on transforming her physical body and emotional state. Her hobbies of food, yoga and fitness eventually became her business. She created a healthy food business on New York’s Upper East side peppered with prepared foods, catering and cooking workshops which led to the launch of a healthy children’s cooking school called Kitchen Little. From student to teacher, she continues to spread the message and share the tools that so generously healed her. Read more
Jackie Poplaski – Director – Program Development & Behavior Coaching /Fitness Coach – New York and Texas
Jackie holds her coaching certificate from New York University and is a Sharecare Elite Trainer and Fitness Expert. In addition, she is a NASM certified personal trainer, AFAA certified group fitness and Kickboxing instructor. Utilizing her vast education as well as her own personal experience losing and keeping off 100lbs, Jackie has been with Shane Diet & Fitness Resorts since 2010 and has coached hundreds of participants along their own journey of success by helping them recognize and change the behavior and thinking that has been keeping them from making permanent healthy lifestyle changes. Jules Aldaz – Fashion Stylist – Texas
With more than 20 years experience in the fashion industry, Jules Aldaz is bringing her talents to Shane Diet & Fitness Resorts to conduct “The New You” Makeover seminars. She has styled models for print publications and in designer collections, actresses for television and screen appearances and is a columnist for fashion magazines in her native Texas. But it is her own personal struggle with weight that led her to combine her passion for fashion with her desire to help others. Read more
Catie Beaulieu – Behavior & Fitness Coach – New York
Catie strives for wellness and has experienced the ups and downs of diets, exercise, and motivation. In addition to exercise and nutrition, she believes that healthy relationships, work, and community are all components that have allowed her to succeed in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Read more
Debbie Birch – Guest Fitness Coach – New York
Debbie Birch is devoted to the health and fitness industry since 1985, Debbie is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant, Instructor and Lecturer. She began her fitness training at North Carolina School of the Arts in Pilates while studying to be a professional dancer. She received her BFA at Denison University and then headed to New York. Kristina DiSanto – Registered Dietitian & Fitness Coach – New York
Kristina is a Registered Dietitian from Philadelphia, PA. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree with the completion of the Coordinated Program in Nutrition from LaSalle University, which included a variety of internships. In college, she was a Division II club rugby player, during which time her team qualified for nationals and was ranked 10th in the nation. Since then, Kristina has continued to stay active by joining and competing in both CrossFit and gymnastics as well as pursuing other fitness related hobbies. She has worked as a nutrition educator for low-income children, and in long term care. Kristina is thrilled about the opportunity to combine her love of nutrition and fitness, as well as the opportunity to instill healthy attitudes in adults.
Ashley Duzich – Fitness Intern – Texas
Ashley grew up on the gulf coast of Texas where she was a swimmer throughout high school. Her journey into health and wellness really began when she took her first yoga class at the age of 17. By 2009 she had completed her 200-hr yoga teacher training certification. Since then she has taught yoga to groups ranging from private lessons to workshops with 40 or more students. Read more
Aaron Feldman – Guest Fitness Coach – New York
Exercise Physiologist and fitness expert, Aaron has been working in fitness for 11 years. He holds a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology and a Bachelors Degree in Sports and Exercise Science. His personal training certification is from the American College of Sports Medicine. Read more
Jim Fiore – Guest Martial Art & Combat Fitness Coach – Texas
Jim has been a practicing Martial Artist for several years and holds two Black Belts in Tae Kwon Do and a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Jim is currently in training for his Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and 2nd Degree Black Belt Tae Kwon Do. Jim holds a Master’s of Science Degree and is a certified Corrective Exercise Specialist with National Academy of Sports Medicine. Jim has over 2000 hours of teaching experience as the Head Instructor and CEO of American Martial Art Academy in San Antonio, Texas. Read more
Dianne Glover, MPH – Behavior Coach – Texas
Dianne’s own journey with health and wellness began when she was working as an actress in New York City. She recognized that proper nutrition and physical fitness were the keys to maximizing her energy, so she became a certified aerobics instructor. She later went on to graduate school and received a master’s in public health from UCLA. Working in healthcare communications, Dianne discovered her passion to help people be proactive about their health and continued her education to become a professional certified wellness coach. Alyse Herndon – Fitness Coach – Texas
Alyse describes herself as a small town, country girl who loves the big city. She discovered healthy living in 2005 and has made it her life. Alyse holds a degree in Kinesiology; Exercise Science, and a master’s degree in Fitness and Recreation Administration. Growing up she was active in many sports including cheerleading, basketball, tennis, and track. Read more
Danny Galvan – Behavior & Fitness Coach – Texas
Danny’s passion for creative approaches to overall health and wellness has brought him to Shane Diet & Fitness Resorts, and he is excited to be on the Texas team.

Amber Ketchum – Registered Dietitian – Texas
Amber is a Registered Dietitian from San Antonio, Texas. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from the University of the Incarnate Word, and later attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where she completed her Dietetic Internship and her Master’s Degree in Dietetic Studies. Michael Manocherian – Fitness Coach – New York
Michael, or ‘Mano’, is very excited to be joining the Shane Diet & Fitness Resorts team as a Fitness Coach. He graduated from Muhlenberg College with a BA in Psychology and is an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and an ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor. He is also a recent graduate of Focus Personal Training Institute. Read more
Aleisa Miller – Marketing & Administrative Associate
Aleisa is a graduate of Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. Aleisa has been interested in nutrition, staying healthy and eating right for years, because of her own weight struggles. Aleisa joined the Shane Diet & Fitness Resorts team after moving to New York from her home state, Florida. She has a passion for helping others and is excited to bring her enthusiasm for fitness and wellness to help build the Shane Diet & Fitness Resorts program to be the best that it can be through her customer service, attention to detail and marketing.
Liz Mitchell – Fitness Coach – Texas
Liz was born and raised in Arlington, Virginia. Known for never being able to sit still, Liz knew her career would involve living an active lifestyle. From an early age, she was accused of being far too energetic. She danced ballet for thirteen years, interspersed with soccer, basketball and powder puff football. Sports came naturally to her. When she entered high school, recognizing her love for everything active, she knew her career would be in the fitness industry and she never looked back. Read more
Sarah Richards – Nutrition Intern – New York
Sarah Richards is from Danville, California and is very excited to be joining the Shane Diet & Fitness Resorts team in New York as a summer intern. She is currently a senior at Johnson & Wales University where she will receive her Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Nutrition in the fall. She received her Associates Degree in Culinary Arts in the spring of 2011. Sarah has an immense passion for developing and cooking satisfying and nutritious meals, and a love for fitness. She loves walking, hiking, swimming, and being outside along with group exercises like Zumba and Pilates. Sarah hopes to inspire people on their weight loss journey by encouraging them to cook healthier meals and snacks, find an active lifestyle they enjoy and take the time to care for themselves.
Cassie Shaw – Fitness Coach – New York
Ever since Cassie was young, she has been an avid tennis player and runner. It wasn’t until recently, though, that she decided to take fitness to the next level. In November of 2012, she ran her first marathon in Mesquite, Nevada. A couple months later, Cassie became an ACE certified personal trainer, and now she is working toward obtaining her group fitness certification from ACE as well. Read more
Megan Ware – Registered Dietitian & Fitness Coach – New York
Megan is a registered dietitian/nutritionist with a passion for helping others achieve their best self. She graduated from Ohio State University in 2009, earning her bachelor of science in dietetics. She completed a 9-month nutrition focused internship at Mt Carmel College of Nursing and worked as a clinical dietitian at Florida Hospital Orlando, specializing in gastro-intestinal and liver disorders. She has since started her own healthy living and weight loss practice, Nutrition Awareness, in Dallas, TX, where she helps clients achieve total nutrition and fitness turnarounds. She is an avid blogger, self-proclaimed foodie, wanna-be gardener and lover of anything outdoors. Megan has traveled to 18 countries and is excited to start a new adventure as a dietitian for the Shane team in New York. She will bring years of experience teaching group fitness classes, hiking, playing volleyball and softball. She is most looking forward to showing the guests that living a healthy lifestyle can be fun, rewarding and manageable.
Valerie Weisel – Guest Enrollment Adviser – New York
Valerie is ecstatic to be a part of the Shane Team! Two years ago she came to us as a guest at Shane Diet & Fitness Resorts in Ellenville, NY and it was the perfect fit. Valerie struggled with her weight her entire life and once she realized she needed more than just a restricted “diet”, she enrolled at SDR. Fast forward 2 years and she is down 85lbs, has graduated with high honors from a Nutrition and Fitness Program at Stratford Career Institute, and is planning to get her Health Coach Certification, followed by her Personal Trainer Certification from ACE later this year! Valerie looks forward to growing with Shane!
