Fitness Coach – Texas
Kristi has known the struggle of being overweight. She spent many years being not only the tallest girl in class, but also the biggest. Kristi had to learn healthy habits early on in life, which helped her excel in soccer, cross country and track in high school. She played two years of college soccer at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN before deciding to move back to Arizona to attend Arizona State University in order to pursue her passion for health and wellness. A quick two years later Kristi walked away with her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology. Soon after graduation she decided to move closer to family in San Antonio, Texas and has found out that she is a Texas girl at heart. Shortly after moving to San Antonio she decided to attend the University of Texas at San Antonio and received a Masters degree in Health and Kinesiology with an emphasis in Health Promotion.
Kristi has spent 6 years working in the Fitness industry in a variety of settings. During those years she has worked with many individuals with different goals and abilities. Kristi holds several different certifications including: ACSM CPT, AFAA Primary Group Exercise, AFAA Kickboxing, Piloxing®, and Zumba® to name a few. Kristi says that “Making behavior changes is not easy, but once you build a routine and learn how to incorporate healthy habits into your daily life then you will set yourself up for success.”
Kristi enjoys going to the gym with her sister Katie. They hope to run their first half marathon together in 2015. As for now Kristi hopes to do her first unassisted pull-up. In her spare time she also loves to watch movies with her husband Trevor and play with her two dogs Ledley and London.
Kristi is happy to be a part of the SDR family. She hopes to inspire individuals and make a positive impact in their lives!
“Positive thoughts lead to positive results.”
