Your days at Shane Diet & Fitness Resorts are inspiring, motivating and proven to get long-lasting results. We combine expertise in nutrition, fitness and behavior to reach goals you never dreamed of reaching. How the daily schedule usually looks
Breakfast – Join your coaches and fellow guests for a nutritionally packed breakfast, designed by our on-staff registered dietitians to help fuel your morning workouts.Sunrise Walk & Stretch –
Prepare your body and mind for the day ahead.
Activity Period 1 – Begin with our exclusive and challenging “Shane Signature Series” classes such as “Core Movements” and “Ready Set Go.” Designed by Shane’s expert fitness trainers to help you build strength, burn fat, and master foundational exercise techniques.
Activity Period 2 – Participate in one of our Education Series classes such as “Five Pillars of Nutrition” led by our Nutritionists to help you understand the key basics of nutrition or “Exercise Right” taught by our expert Fitness Coaches on the most effective ways to work out for weight loss.
Activity Period 3 – Suit up for Aqua Fit Pool Training or take an express Abs class.
Lunch – Enjoy a delicious lunch and well deserved rest.Activity Period 4 –
Not sure how to use the workout equipment in the gym? Try Gym 101. Offered each week, one of our Fitness Coaches will meet guests to provide education on utilizing gym equipment & machines both safely and effectively. The class provides each participant with a fitness routine to practice while our trainer is on hand to answer questions. Or pair up for Partner Training Exercises.
Activity Period 5 – Join Group Coaching, led by our specialized Behavior Change Coach, to help you set clear and effective goals, examine your current behaviors and make new choices to achieve what is most important to you.
PM Snack – Enjoy a light 100 – 200 calorie snack to keep you fueled for pm activities.
Activity Period 6 – Grab a bike at our popular spin class and work up a sweat to energizing music. Or improve your flexibility and calm your mind in our Breathe & Stretch class.
Dinner – Dine on a tasty and filling dinner and enjoy the company of your fellow guests.Evening Activity –
Don’t feel like calling it a day? Attend a pool party, play board games, watch a movie, or take time on your own to just relax, catch up with friends and rest up.
Breaking up the schedule with excursions in beautiful Upstate New York
We offer exciting day trips each week, such as walks in a beautiful 2,000-acre state park and refreshing dips in a nearby natural lake. If you are feeling the need for a little retail therapy, join us at Woodbury Common Premium Outlet Stores. Splurge on a little black dress at Dolce & Gabbana or new (way smaller) jeans at The Gap. Or pick a piece of art for your dorm room or office at the artists’ colony of Woodstock.
Minnewaska State Park
One of the most unique and beautiful parks in New York State, featuring numerous waterfalls, three crystalline sky lakes, more cliff-edge views that we can mention, world-class rock climbing and 35 miles of carriageways and 25 miles of footpaths on which to bike, walk, hike and simply enjoy.
Woodbury Common Premium Outlets
Over 220 designer stores Woodbury Common is a shopaholic’s dream – designer clothing at bargain prices! You’ll find plenty of great deals here and not just on clothing. There’s also stores for home furnishing, jewelry, luggage, leather, gifts and specialty items.
Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is a $100 million outdoor performing arts center located at the site of the original 1969 Woodstock festival in Bethel, NY. The 15,000 seat outdoor performing arts venue is set within nearly 2,000 bucolic acres, offering unique backdrops of the beautiful surrounding countryside.
Day Trip to Camp Shane
Shane Diet & Fitness Resorts’ New York program is only 25 minutes from Camp Shane, the world’s longest running kids weight loss camp. During the summer you have the option to spend a day at the camp, joining in activities such as the ropes course, paintball, dance classes, kick boxing and much more.
Sam’s Point Preserve
Perched atop the highest point of the Shawangunk Ridge lies Sam’s Point Preserve. Home to nearly 40 rare plant and animal species, the northern Shawangunks represent one of the highest conservation priorities in the United States. The preserve offers gorgeous trails through forests and over massive rock formations featuring fabulous views.
Swinging Bridge Lake
Located just 30 minutes from Shane’s New York program is the pristine, nine-mile long Swinging Bridge Lake. On a lovely wooded site with a sandy beachfront, this is Camp Shane’s water sport facility. Our guests enjoy spending a day here taking motor boat, banana boat and jet ski rides. It’s a favorite day for many past guests.
Kelder’s Farm, in operation since 1836, is set among the broad fields and soaring cliffs of the beautiful Rondout Valley. This lovely and surprising farm is a Shane favorite. Enjoy a tour of the farm, meet and feed the animals, pick berries, take a hay ride and play mini-golf. Enjoyable for all ages!
Mountain Creek Water Park
Get wet and crazy at Mountain Creek Water Park. Guests can ride the High Tide Wavepool, Tarzan Swings, Alpine Pipleine and Cannonball Falls among other attractions. Don’t forget your bathing suit!
