Alyse describes herself as a small town, country girl who loves the big city. She discovered healthy living in 2005 and has made it her life. Alyse holds a degree in Kinesiology; Exercise Science, and a master’s degree in Fitness and Recreation Administration. Growing up she was active in many sports including cheerleading, basketball, tennis, and track.
Alyse was a cheerleader at Angelo State University and then gave up cheerleading to pursue fitness. Once she got a taste of teaching classes and working with individuals she was hooked! During Alyse’ graduate years at ASU, she was the Graduate Assistant of Fitness. There she designed and built a complete fitness program for the university that is still implemented today. One of Alyse’s most popular classes was “Abs”. The class was so popular she gained the nickname “Ab Girl.” No one knew her real name, but they sure knew who the Ab Girl was!
Through Alyse’ seven years of coaching, training, and teaching exercise classes, she has been able to inspire, motivate, and challenge individuals to a whole new level of fitness. “Seeing these individuals reach their goals and become more confident in themselves is truly the most rewarding part of my job” says Alyse.
Alyse enjoys going to the gym on a regular basis where she combines different styles of cardio and weight training to keep it fun. She also enjoys participating in fun runs all over Texas, include her newest challenge – the Tough Mudder!
“I cannot express how excited I am to be a member of the SDR Team! I am ready to start changing lives and help those changes last. Fitness is a journey. Let the adventures begin!!!” Alyse says.
