The second Cornerstone of the Shane Weight Loss/New Life Philosophy is Nutrition: learn to eat the right amount of good, healthy food; learn how to prepare that kind of food for yourself; learn how to make better choices when you’re eating outside your home.
We know you’ve heard this before but it’s true: You are what you eat. At Shane Diet & Fitness Resorts we know the food you eat has a direct affect on the quality of your health and well being.
It’s not rocket science. Nutrition doesn’t have to be such a complicated, confusing and misleading topic. Low Carbs? High Carbs? Dairy? No Dairy? Low Fat? Saturated Fat? Nutrition advice seems to change every other day. And yet the question we need to ask every day remains: What am I supposed to eat that tastes good, satisfies me and will keep my weight stable and my body healthy?
Our basic approach to Nutrition is straightforward: take in fewer calories than you burn every day. Eat minimally processed foods that give you a good balance of protein, complex carbohydrates and healthy fats. Our program menu is specifically designed by our Registered Dietitians to promote healthy weight loss.
