   Located in the heart of the Catskill Mountains is a five mile stretch of river. People come from all over to ride the rapids and drift with the currents of the Esopus Creek. As you drift lazily, a noise appears, faint but that noise quickly becomes a low roar. Gradually becoming louder, you notice that you are tensing up a little. Moving faster now, that noise becomes a very loud roar. Looking ahead, you see the calm water end as the water sprays into the air and the rapids begin.
