Program Director & Nutritionist – Texas
Cecelia began her lifelong enjoyment with fitness during a summer internship at a fitness center. After getting a taste of teaching group exercise classes, she became nationally certified through AFAA and has been teaching for the last 28 years, and counting. As an instructor, she realized that her class members looked to her for knowledge and guidance, and this led her to pursue graduate studies in exercise science. She then began personal training, and found great pleasure and reward working with a full range of clients, from in-home training, to novice exercisers; Cecelia enjoys them all.
Her quest took her back to the classroom yet again, where she completed her post baccalaureate in Nutrition in 2012 from Texas Woman’s University in Denton. During her time in Denton, she had numerous opportunities to work within the community to combine her passion for exercise, nutrition, and fitness. She began meal preparation for personal training clients which included planning meals, cooking, and delivering several days worth of healthy foods, while at the same time, educating her clients on how to cook with healthy substitutions. Cecelia has also had the privilege of presenting wellness and nutrition topics to various community groups.
Cecelia believes that change is exciting, and challenge exhilarating, and that we should never stop reaching beyond our comfort zones, because that’s where we find our own greatness!!
